I love that song and could probably listen to it any time. Another great Josh Turner song is Time Is Love, which talks about someone he loves who is willing to wait for him. Here is Josh Turner's Time Is Love.

A guy I like to listen to is Josh Turner, Josh Turner has a deep nice voice. Josh Turner could get any girl he wanted to because of his low voice. I saw him live at the Rodeo last year and it was amazing! I sang almost every song and it sounded like everyone else did too. My favorite Josh Turner song is Would You Go With Me, I like this song because of the tune and the low notes that are just amazing! Here is Josh Turner's Would You Go With Me.

This week we learned about The Who, and I didn't like them that much. I couldn't really understand them and their lyrics were too repetitive for me. I also feel like they sound to much like the Beatles, because during one song I thought we changed to listening to the Beatles. One crazy thing I learned about The Who is that their drummer put dynamite in his drum set and set it off at the end of a song without telling anyone, and the guitarist was right in front of the drum set and the dynamite blew his ear drums partially out. I think that, that is pretty stupid because, why would anyone put dynamite in their drum set and not tell anyone that you had it in there and were going to set it off. This just shows that The Who are pretty crazy. Here's the video of The Who's My Generation, where Keith Moon sets off dynamite in his drum set.

In my previous blogs I have written about the new bands I am listening to, but I have decided to change that up and talk about a band that I've has always liked for as long as I've heard them. The band I am talking about is The Fray. I absolutely love The Fray! I love their lyrics, vocals, and sound. A song that really speaks to me is Over My Head, that talks about a guy that is "over his head" for a girl he likes. This speaks to me because it's so hard to find a girl that is good for you, and once you do it is hard to put yourself out there to go and get her. Here are the lyrics to The Fray's Over My Head, which will be followed by the music video.
I never knew
I never knew that everything was falling through
That everyone I knew was waiting on a queue
To turn and run when all I needed was the truth
But that's how it's got to be
It's coming down to nothing more than apathy
I'd rather run the other way than stay and see
The smoke and who's still standing when it clears
Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind
Let's rearrange
I wish you were a stranger I could disengage
Just say that we agree and then never change
Soften a bit until we all just get along
But that's disregard
Find another friend and you discard
As you lose the argument in a cable car
Hanging above as the canyon comes between
Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind
Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your ...
And suddenly I become a part of your past
I'm becoming the part that don't last
I'm losing you and its effortless
Without a sound we lose sight of the ground
In the throw around
Never thought that you wanted to bring it down
I won't let it go down till we torch it ourselves
And everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind

This week in class we watched The Beatles Hard Days Night, and that was ok, I definitely liked the Beatles first time in the U.S. much better. The reason is because in Hard Days Night I feel as if it's not as real as their first time in the U.S. Hard Days Night just seems so fake and unreal, but in the other one it is more real because they are just being themselves. This week wasn't only about the Beatles it was also about The Rolling Stones, and I did not like them at all. They can't sing, they don't have any harmonies, and their music isn't that good. Overall I would say the Beatles are much better than The Rolling Stones. Plus the Beatles wrote the majority of their songs and The Rolling Stone only wrote one per album.

A band that I like and have recently discovered are the Imagine Dragons. Now from the name you may think that it sounds a little weird but they're not, I really like them and can't wait for them to come out with new songs. What got me hooked on them is their lead singers voice and their sound. One of their songs that is fairly popular is called It's Time, which talks about not trying to be someone you're not and just being yourself not matter what may happen. Here's the video of It's Time by Imagine Dragons.
Another not so popular song by them is called Demons and I really like this song because of what it's about. It's about this guys lover being the only bright point in his life, and worst of all there are demons inside him and he's pleading for her to save him while acknowledging it's better to push her away for her own good. Here's the video of Demons by Imagine Dragons.

This week in class we talked mainly about The Beatles. The Beatles were and still are a very popular band. They were the biggest thing to happen to Rock and Roll. Many people love and praise The Beatles, I'm not one of those people, I mean I like The Beatles I just don't think they are the greatest band ever. Don't get me wrong they are amazing musicians and song writers, but I just don't really like their songs that much. One thing I didn't know about The Beatles is how funny they are, especially Ringo. Although I don't like them that much I still have a couple of songs I do like. For example, I Saw Her Standing There, here's a video.
That is a great song that I like a lot! Another great classic by The Beatles is Twist and Shout, I especially like the scene in Farris Bueller's Day Off where he's on the parade float acting like he's singing Twist and Shout, and everyone is getting really in to it. Here's the clip from Farris Bueller's Day Off where Farris sings Twist and Shout on a parade float.

There is one country band that I can always listen to, and that is the Zac Brown Band. The thing I love about the Zac Brown Band are their lyrics and most of all their sound. The lead singer has such a smooth voice that I love and could listen to all the time. They have fast songs, funny songs, slow songs, and serious songs. Here's and example of one of their more up beat songs that's also funny called The Wind.
All of their songs are definitely not like this one above, but there is one song called Highway 20 Ride that is pretty slow. The lead singer Zac Brown helped write this song along with Wyatt Durette, who got the idea to write the song while driving along Interstate 20 between Atlanta, Georgia and the Georgia/South Carolina state line in Augusta, Georgia to drop off his son so that his mom could pick him up. After one particular trip, Wyatt started to think how his son thought of him as a father and he came up with this song. Here's the video of Highway 20 Ride.

This week in class we listened to Buddy Holly and the Beatles. Out of those two I would have to say I like Buddy Holly more one, because he's from Texas, and two, because I like his voice and some of his songs. Don't get me wrong I like some of the Beatles songs, I would just prefer to listen to Buddy Holly rather than the Beatles. Here's one of Buddy Holly's songs that I really like.
Even though Buddy Holly died at age 23 in a plane crash doesn't mean his songs aren't played anymore. Here is an AT&T commercial with his song Everyday.
