An artist that I have been listening to recently is Macklemore. A couple of songs that I really like are Same Love, Thrift Shop and Wings. They are inspirational songs with a good message which is hard to find in a rap or pop songs. The songs also give background information about Macklemore and his childhood. The cool thing is that the way that Macklemore puts across his stories are in a way that applies to people who enjoy rap and to people who want to hear inspirational stories. As a mentioned earlier, I really like his song Thrift shop because of how ironic it is. In some rap song you hear the rappers talking about how much money they spend and all the expensive things they buy, but in this song, Macklemore talks about only spending about $20 in a thrift shop.
